Dear Dave,

Below are the instructions to assist you in selecting your Texas OilWorks insurance benefits. Before beginning the benefits enrollment processes, please review the "Benefits" section of the employee handbook on Better Working Days.

The enrollment period for new employees will begin approximately three days after your start date. You will then have a total of two weeks to complete your enrollment.

To begin the enrollment process, please log in to Better Working Days and select "Benefits for New Hires." You will not be able to change your benefits after the enrollment period has closed, unless you have a qualifying life event.

If you do not enroll in your benefits via Better Working Days, you will be automatically defaulted to the following coverage:

Asclepius HMO
Shiny Ivories Dental
Polyphemus Vision
Basic Life Insurance

More information to assist you in making benefit enrollment choices will be provided at the New Employee Benefit Orientation.

This weekend, movers from Klutz & Tripp Moving will relocate our company headquarters from Portland to a larger, better-equipped building in Beaverton, approximately 25 minutes away.

The movers will pack up everything in your offices and cubicles. However, to make this transition as smooth as possible, please read and follow these instructions as we prepare for the big move:

Discard unnecessary papers and folders that are currently in your filing cabinets.
Put outdated legal documents, along with any other sensitive materials, in the large shredding bin outside of the break room. Jody Ritter in Legal has advised us to shred all unneeded documents pertaining to company business.
Pack all personal items in the provided cardboard boxes. The movers will label, seal, and transport these boxes. Note: you will need to transport any personal office plants yourself; the mover is not equipped to move them.
