Baking With Mom

Mom and Reed need to bake a pie. "Let's make a peach pie," says Mom. "Can you please clean the peaches?"

Reed cleans and peels the peaches. He takes out the seeds. Next, Mom shows Reed how to slice the fruit.

After a while, the pie is done!

Reed asks, "Can we eat the pie now? I don't want to wait."

Mom smiles and says, "How about we share a small slice?"

"Let's put some ice cream on top, too!" says Reed. Mom winks.

Playing With Clay

Jen and Fred sat down to play with their clay.

"What should we make?" asks Jen.

"I want to make a tree. But I do not know how," says Fred.

"I can teach you!" says Jen.

Jen shows Fred how to roll the brown clay. "This is for the trunk and branches," says Jen.

Then they squeeze the green clay into a ball. They each make three leaves. They add the leaves to the brown branches.

"What will grow on our tree?" asks Fred.

"Our tree should grow some fruit. Let's make peaches for our tree," says Jen.

"Our tree looks really neat," they say.
