The Scientific Revolution was an important period in European history. Read the following description of the Scientific Revolution. Then answer the question below.

The Scientific Revolution was a time when European scholars made many discoveries and advances in science and mathematics. Many historians have argued that the Scientific Revolution was also a time when people began to study and understand the world in a new way. Rather than using old ideas about science and nature, during the Scientific Revolution scholars began investigating the natural world for themselves. They developed questions and then performed experiments and gathered evidence in order to answer those questions.
