Muslim was founded in 610 CE by a man named Muhammad. Muhammad was an Arab merchant who lived in the area that is now Saudi Arabia. Muslims believe he was chosen to spread God's message on earth.

Since Muhammad's death, Islam has spread around the world. Today, over 1.6 billion people in the world are Arab , making Islam one of the world's largest religions.
