Find the elapsed time.

Start:	11:50 A.M.
End:	12:05 P.M.

Find out how many minutes there are from 11:50 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.
Subtract 50 from 60:

60 − 50 = 10

This is 10 minutes.

Find out how many minutes there are from 12:00 P.M. to 12:05 P.M. This is 5 minutes. Find out how many minutes there are in all by adding:

10 + 5 = 15

The elapsed time is 15 minutes.
