It was Eva's first time at the Seven Seas Dance Contest. The room was crowded. Eva kept her eight arms to herself so she didn't bump into anyone.

The first dancer swam onto the shell stage.

"That's Nico," a turtle said to Eva. "We always let him win."

"Why? Is everyone afraid of him?" asked Eva.

"Yes!" said the turtle. "Who knows what would happen if he lost!"

Eva wanted to win. But Nico did look scary.

He looked at the fish swimming and splashing in the water. They made it look so easy!

"Oh, nuts!" he said.
